The term “additive manufacturing” or “3-D printing” covers all processes used to build up moulded parts layer by layer on the basis of CAD data. While this technique is already established in industrial applications for metals and plastics, it is still in an early development or application phase in the field of ceramic materials. The book offers a well-founded overview of the state of the art, shows the basics and evaluates the possibilities and limits of the individual processes.

The newly published technical book by Wolfgang Kollenberg gives a deep insight into the different processes of additive manufacturing of ceramic components.
